AMATEUR RADIO Wednesday - 10.00am

A course designed for those wishing to obtain the Foundation Licence and to broaden their knowledge of Ham/Amateur Radio operators. There will be some short revision of electronics associated with radio and message handling followed by practice procedures and the use of computers and mobile phones in radio.

ANDROID PHONES & TABLETS Friday 11.30am - 1.30pm

Participants will have Android Tablets or Phones. The aim is to help students learn how to set up and use some of the features of Android phones and tablets and to develop self-confidence to go further. Techniques include browsing the internet for research and entertainment, taking photos, using text messaging (SMS), email and downloading apps

This is a forum for the more experienced user to interact and exchange information and advice on any form of software or hardware. We can share any favourite project or experience with the group and discuss where and how we can improve our general knowledge of computers and their operation.

WEBSITE - MAKE A SIMPLE WEBSITE - Thursday 11.30am - 1.30pm

If you can use Microsoft Word or Publisher you can build a first-class website using easy to use and simple online free templates from www.wix.com. No knowledge of code needed. Easy to use menus allow for shops, blogs and forms. You only pay Wix if your website goes live. In other words, you can play and practice all day or night. Bring your laptop or tablet.

WINDOWS 10 and OFFICE - Advanced - Friday 9.00am - 11.00am

This course is for people who have had some experience with Windows 10 and Office. Bring your own Windows 10 laptop.  The aim is to extend your use of Windows 10 and the Office suite.
There may be a loaner laptop available.
