ARCHERY - Thursday 10.am - 11.30am

Many U3A members, both men and women, have already enjoyed this programme. You don’t have to be strong or really fit to be able to participate. Learning takes place using either recurve or compound bows selected to teach all ages. All equipment is supplied by the club.  We enjoy a chat and morning tea and biscuits after shooting

BADMINTON - Thursday 8.45am - 10.45am

Players of U3A and non U3A enjoy badminton games. Some are strong players and some are not. A friendly group, we enjoy coffee and lunch sometimes

An exciting and strategic game for all ages. Easy to learn. Fun to play

GATEBALL - Tuesday 9.00am

Outdoors and moving - played in teams of 5 - using a mallet (lightweight, supplied) to hit your ball through a gate/hoop. Strategy to keep opposing team off lawn away from gates, therefore not scoring. Games are of half-hour duration.

GOLF CROQUET - Wednesday 9.00am

Easy version of croquet, teaching basic mallet skills.

LAWN BOWLS - Lindsay St - Thursday 3.00pm - 5.00pm

Learn the art of playing lawn bowls. We have a qualified coach and tutor prepared to take a group for lessons. A minimum of six needed for this to proceed..

LAWN BOWLS - Victoria St - Tuesday 2.00pm - 3.30pm

Learn to play lawn bowls with a qualified coach in a friendly atmosphere. Bowls are supplied. You will need a hat, water and flat-soled shoes.

SHIBASHI QIGONG - Tuesday 9.00am - 10.00am

Shibashi is a set of 18 movements or techniques perceived in traditional Chinese medicine to be relaxing, beneficial exercise, and designed to cultivate health and energy throughout the body.

A fun game of social tennis. No need to be a star. Come along and join the fun and get into that good fresh air. Also keeps you fit.

A good afternoon of social tennis. We play all year round and welcome all levels of player. However, there is no coaching so it is unsuitable for beginners. Come and have fun with us, afternoon tea included

We meet to try to knock over some Tenpins. Sometimes we are lucky; it’s just for fun so come along and join us..

WALKING GROUP - Thursday 9.00am - 12.00noon

Ours is a fun-loving group who enjoy walking and taking in our beautiful city and surrounding areas.

YOGA with Ros - Tuesday 11.30am -1.30pm

Course will be an introduction to Yoga practice with an emphasis on gentle, supported practice and breath awareness to enhance movement and strength and well being.

YOGA for Life Friday 2.00pm - 4.00pm

Gently relax tension, gain strength and vitality. Arrive at a peaceful, natural state of heightened awareness.   Asana postures; simple anti-rheumatic/anti-gastric exercises done slowly with attentiveness. Pranayama breathing; regenerate and revitalise the body; release mental tension. Yoga Nidra Supine meditation: The body sleeps while the mind remains awake, alert, yet tranquil.
